Gorji, an engineer turned chef and restaurateur, has helmed his critically acclaimed namesake restaurant for 16 years in Dallas, Texas. Serving his signature “New Mediterranean” cuisine, Gorji restaurant has 7-tables with unconventional fine dining — no-tipping, no turning tables, no TV and no young children. He is back-to-back champion of the famed Texas Steak Cook-Off and author of the cookbook, Zing! By Gorji—New Mediterranean Cuisine, the winner of international and domestic book awards. He is the creator of Gorji Gourmet Foods, a line of sauces sold at Whole Foods and specialty grocery stores in DFW. The pasta sauces, salad dressings and dips have won 30 awards in blind tasting food competitions. The restaurant, cookbook and sauces have been featured in local, regional and national magazines and TV including Dallas Morning News, D Magazine, Dallas Observer, Texas Monthly, Fox News, CBS, Gourmet Retailer, Modern Luxury, National Culinary Review, Paper City and others.
