Chef Gorji began bottling his Gorji Gourmet sauces in 2006, in response to demand from customers at Canary By Gorji, his fine dining restaurant in Dallas. Diners often described them as “Tastes Just Picked,” so that became the slogan for his product line of Mediterranean-inspired pizza and pasta sauces, marinade and vinaigrette. Each recipe has rich and complex flavor, as if it simmered on the stove for hours — yet it just takes minutes to heat and combine with your dishes, creating a gourmet meal in minutes.

What Home Cooks Say…

Chef GorjiThis pasta sauce is fantastic.
It’s your typical tomato pasta sauce...only better. Usually, you can’t really tell tomato sauce is made from tomatoes. But this sauce has tomato seeds and still retains some of the fruit’s texture. It also has a nice garlic kick. This sauce is particularly good over pasta with veggies like mushroom and squash. The medley of vegetable textures is wonderful. It doesn’t try to be a lot more than it’s not by adding all kinds of different spices and herbs and everything they could throw in it. It’s a nice, relatively simple, break for your palate. —Sally A

Delicious - and spicy!
I could tell that used straight over pasta it would be too spicy for my mild tongue, but in lasagna, it was just right. I never thought of adding spice to lasagna, but it actually really works! I’ll always use this sauce for my lasagna from now on! —Rich M

I had heard this dressing was fantastic, so as soon as it came, I put together a salad with what I could find: tomatoes, avocados, and mozzarella. This dressing is a fantastic balsamic vinaigrette. I love fancy olive oils and vinegars, and this tasted like it was made from the quality stuff. Often, vinaigrette dressings are heavy on the oil, and only spiced with spices, and you can’t even taste the balsamic vinegar it’s made from. All this is “spiced” with is a splash of pomegranate juice. This tastes like it’s closer to ¾ balsamic vinegar. It tastes just like I had when I was an exchange student in Europe. When the dressing is made with this high quality vinegar, it doesn’t have to compensate (like the cheaper brands do) with over-spicing it. —Alicia

A dressing as good as his recipes.
I decided to try a few sauces from this guy after getting his cookbook as a gift (really fantastic - check it out, it's called Zing! by Gorji). This is my go-to salad dressing now. No matter what you have in your salad - greens, nuts, berries, cheese... even straight-up fruit salad, this goes great with it. Call me crazy, but it’s actually also good on ice cream! This is simply a staple condiment. Balsamic vinegars can be a bit harsh on their own, but cut the sting with olive oil and a hint of pomegranate, and you’ve found it. It’s also great on sandwiches, from corned beef to ham to avocado, drip a tablespoon or two over it and enjoy the rush of flavor it adds. —Frank B
