The Pomegranate Vinaigrette
Pomegranate puree, and balsamic vinegars combine with the olive oil for a lively vinaigrette with just a touch of sweetness. In addition, this balsamic vinaigrette can double as sauce and marinade for meats and vegetables.
Olive Oil Salad Dressing
It is one of the few salad dressings made with pure olive oil.
Chef Gorji started bottling this pomegranate salad dressing in response to customers at his restaurant asking to take some home. As a result, it is now available for home cooks to quickly add a gourmet taste to their creations.
Restaurant and Cookbook Features Pomegranate Salad Dressing
Furthermore, many of the salads featured at Gorji Restaurant are in his cookbook, Zing! New Mediterranean Cuisine. Also, the cookbook recipes include Mache Rosette and Raspberries, Baby Spinach, Peach, Fennel with Pomegranate Seeds as well as others which are offered at the restaurant on the Prix Fixe Menu. And, Chef Gorji reinforces the vibrant taste by sprinkling fresh pomegranate seeds as garnish on some of his salads as well. Because Pomegranates are typically in season in the Northern Hemisphere from September to February and in the Southern Hemisphere from March to May it is possible to find them in markets most of the year.
Pomegranate Vinaigrette Doubles As Marinade
Because it can also be used as a flavorful marinade it is a lively addition to chicken and pork dishes as well as roasted vegetables.
Most noteworthy, Gorji Gourmet Pomegranate Vinaigrette won a Bronze Awards at ZestFest and ScovieAwards in 2017 in blind judging in the marinade category!
