Blind Judging Food Competitions: Gorji Gourmet Wins 21 Awards

2019—A Total 30 Awards In Food Competitions for Gorji Gourmet !

Gorji Gourmet have won 6 more awards in blind judging food competitions, bringing the total for all five products to 21 awards. The three pasta and pizza sauces swept the cooking sauce category at the Zestfest Fiery Food Challenge in January 2018. Puttanesca won two gold awards, the coveted Golden Chile Award at Zestfest and gold at Scovie Awards earlier. Arrabiata Diavolo took Silver and Pomodoro won Bronze at Zestfest and Dipping Oil & Marinade won Silver and Pomegranate Vinaigrette won Bronze at the Scovie Awards. These six plus the 15 prior wins brings the grand total to 21!

Gorji Gourmet Foods won four awards at ZestFest and three awards at Scovie Awards, Chef Gorji announced via PRNewswire. ZestFest’s annual event produced by Spicy Food Productions was held at the Irving Convention Center January 27-29.  At Fiery Food Challenge, professional judges taste hundreds of sauces, salsas and spicy treats from across the US and internationally to select the winners.

Arrabiata Diavolo Takes Home Third Golden Chile at ZestFest & Gold at Scovie Awards

Arrabiata Diavolo won the top spot in cooking sauces again winning the coveted Golden Chile Award. It also took home 1st place at the Scovie Awards competition held earlier in the season in Albuquerque, NM. The spiciest, with fresh garlic and basil, cayenne peppers and red pepper flakes is the Arrabiata sauce. It adds zesty heat to pasta and pizza, as well as seafood, burgers and wherever the devil makes you do it!

This year Puttanesca Sauce again won the Silver Award category at both ZestFest and the Scovies. Puttanesca, with the addition of fresh basil, capers, kalamata olives and a touch of cayenne is perfect to use on any tomato sauce recipe calling for extra “zing”.

Dipping Oil/Marinade Primer and Pomegranate Vinaigrette Join the Winners Table

Dipping Oil & Marinade won Silver at ZestFest and Bronze at Scovie Awards. The olive oil is seasoned with infused herbs, salt and a dash of course ground pepper. Great to dip a crusty piece of warm bread into, or use as a marinade for all kinds of meats. Pomegranate Vinaigrette won Bronze at ZestFest in the salad dressing category.
