Pomegranate Vinaigrette is an olive oil salad dressing. Also, this balsamic vinaigrette can double as sauce and marinade for meats and vegetables.
Pomegranate puree, and balsamic vinegars combine with olive oil for a lively vinaigrette with just a touch of sweetness.
Chef Gorji started bottling this olive oil salad dressing in response to customers at his restaurant asking to take some home. As a result, it is now available for home cooks to quickly add a gourmet taste to their creations.
In addition, many of the salads featured at Canary By Gorji restaurant are in his cookbook, Zing! New Mediterranean Cuisine. Furthermore, the recipes include Mache Rosette and Raspberries, Baby Spinach, Peach, Fennel with Pomegranate Seeds as well as others which are offered at the restaurant on the Prix Fixe Menu. Chef Gorji sprinkles fresh pomegranate seeds as garnish on some of his salads. Because Pomegranates are typically in season in the Northern Hemisphere from September to February and in the Southern Hemisphere from March to May it is possible to find them in markets most of the year.
Because it is also a flavorful marinade it is a lively addition to chicken and pork dishes as well as roasted vegetables.
Finally, Gorji Gourmet Pomegranate Vinaigrette just won a Bronze Award at ZestFest 2017 in the marinade category!
